Marie Brizard Orange Curaçao is a 30% ABV liqueur made in France from distilled Haitian bitter oranges, sweet orange zest from southern Spain, aromatic plants, Cognac and other eaux-de-vie. Marie Brizard was founded in 1755 in Bordeaux, France, after creating the original Anisette liqueur. The company expanded globally by the 1800s and launched citrus liqueurs in 1766. It gained awards from 1893 onward and became a cultural icon by the 1960s.

  • On the palate, it's appropriately thick and syrupy, bursting with orange peel and fruit, burnt orange peel, almond and vanilla. Would work particularly well in cocktails to sweeten dark spirits like aged brandy or rye whiskey.
