Chamucos Tequila Añejo is produced at Destileria Casa De Piedra in Jalisco, Mexico, using blue weber agave from Los Altos and El Valle. The agave is cooked in brick ovens, extracted with a roller mill and fermented without fibers in open-air stainless steel tanks. It is then twice distilled in stainless pot stills and aged in both French oak and American white oak barrels. It rests at 80 proof.
The palate echoes those flavors, and surprises with a waft of smokiness too. All together, this fruity-smoky profile suggests charred pineapple, plus a vanilla and clove finish.
