J.J. Corry The Flintlock No. 1 is a 16-year-old blended malt whiskey bottled at 46% ABV by Chapel Gate Whiskey in November 2018, with 160 bottles released for the U.S. market.
The taste is malty and honey-sweet at first, followed by a good burst of allspice and ginger root spices balanced by lemon zest and a hint of vanilla. The finish is long with spicy touches that last and last without overpowering the sweeter notes underneath. Very nice!
