Produced in Broussard, Louisiana, Jean Baptiste Silver Rum Select is made from South Louisiana molasses aged in ex-bourbon barrels for several months, then combined with raw cane sugar, purified water and a proprietary yeast blend. It ferments for 7 to 10 days before being distilled no more than twice. The rum rests for a month before being polished and clarified through crushed pecan shells. It rests at 82 proof.
