The Dubliner Irish Whiskey is produced in Ireland from a blend of single malt and grain whiskies. It matures in Kentucky bourbon oak casks and is bottled at 80 proof.
A soothingly sweet and syrupy smooth concoction; this light-bodied whiskey of honey, caramel, and toffee feels like it should be dispensed with kindness in regular doses from a medicine spoon. The epitome of uncomplicated, easy-drinking, bourbon cask-matured whiskey.
The palate shows subtle sweetness, layering peach, lemon and grapefruit peel with almond, oak and coconut, plus a mouthwatering, spicy ginger-cinnamon finish.
The alcohol burn on the finish outweighs all features on the finish which were bitter and woody flavors. This isn't something special to seek out; perhaps best to stick with their liqueur.
