Distilled by Gregorio Martinez Garcia in San Baltazar Guel, this Espadin Mezcal is coming to us from Edition 20, in 2018. Batch GMGES080219NS - let's give it a go.
Super interesting and entirely delicious. Yum. Certainly unique, especially in how much blueberry is jamming here, which is a note I don't often get. Big fan.

House Review
Nose:
Sweet cream and sugar, melon, pineapple and juicy fruit gum. Thyme. faintly chemical, lots of minerality.
Taste:
Sweet and loaded with blueberry. It’s like a blueberry toaster strudel. It’s weird but sweet, fruity, and loaded with graham cracker crust and pepper. Clay comes through a bit, alongside some minerality. Clean and crisp on the back palate.
Finish:
Long, fruity and sweet. This tastes so reminiscent of blueberry and blackberry with some faint bakery note. No ash or smoke in the finish.
Overall:
Super interesting and entirely delicious. Yum. Certainly unique, especially in how much blueberry is jamming here, which is a note I don't often get. Big fan.
