El Jolgorio ‘Nuestra Soledad’ San Luis del Rio (2015)
This was an agave that I tried blind. I took notes and received the reveal when I was finished.

- Delicious and complex although not very in your face. Not a terrible thing. I like this and would easily drink it once more, and again after that.

House Review

Nose:
Cream, viengar, light beet / tomato. Very agave forward - ripe and efervescent. Plenty of confectioners sugar and light minerality. Faint lemon zest.
-
Taste:
Thin but no heat. Light earthiness. Musty and sour with salt, copper, notes of soapstone and charcoal. Pepper.
-
Finish:
Short, no heat again but also not super imposing. Light vinegar, faint tomato juice. Mango. light brine and some ash.
-
Overall:
Delicious and complex although not very in your face. Not a terrible thing. I like this and would easily drink it once more, and again after that.
