Mammoth Vodka is produced by Mammoth Distilling in Central Lake, Michigan. Distilled from a grain bill of 90% Wapsi Valley corn and 10% Wheeler rye sourced from local farms, the vodka is made using water drawn from the Torch Lake aquifer. The spirit is distilled on a 650-liter Christian Carl hybrid still equipped with 14 perforated trays, 14 bubble caps and two partial condensers. It is bottled at 40% ABV, or 80 proof, in 750ml bottles.
The aroma leads with cereal grain. vanilla, and banana. Additional time brings out roasted corn notes. The sweet creamy cereal entry has a soft mineral water feel. Lemon arrives building to a banana peak.
