My score for this whiskey places it in the category of solid expression, tastes good, but not distinguished enough to bump up a star. Still, you won’t find me sad to be drinking it!
While simple, the experience was compelling enough to keep me going back to it, a frontier-lite experience that comes across as a perfectly pleasant Sunday sipper rather than something.
The nose is inviting, with sweet fruit and citrus notes, along with a touch of caramel and bread yeast. Although thin, the palate is pleasant with notes of cola, baking spice, and cocoa. With dry oak present throughout, the finish is quite drying despite some great marshmallow and caramel notes

House Review
Nose:
Really rich, lovely nose. Decadent praline and honeycomb stand out. The nose is more wheat-heavy, but the deeper you go you start to get some real classic rye spice, plus candied orange.
Taste:
Very sippable. Orange marmalade, blueberry, cinnamon, chocolate caramels, butterscotch. A bit of heat here, but it softens up nicely with a drop of water.
Finish:
Milk chocolate, espresso bean, cherry and almond, peanut oil and a bit of pepper.
Overall:
A very drinkable, pleasant bourbon.
Score:
89
