La Venenosa Sierra Volcanes is a raicilla produced by Maestro Tabernero Don Arturo Campos in San Juan Espanatica, Tuxpan, in the Sierra Volcanes region of Jalisco, Mexico. Made from cultivated maguey Cenizo (Agave angustifolia), it is roasted in a pit oven fueled by black oak and double-distilled in a traditional clay pot still. Batch strength typically ranges from 45.9% to 47.5% ABV, and a 750 mL bottle generally retails for around $108.
