Koopers Sweetheart of Rodeo Bourbon is a Texas-blended straight bourbon produced by Koopers Whiskey, a family-owned blending house in Ledbetter, Texas. It is a blend of three straight whiskies distilled in Kentucky and Indiana, aged four, four and six years, with a mashbill of roughly 70-75% corn, plus rye and malted barley. It is bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) and carries a suggested retail price of $47 per 750ml.
Sweetheart of the Rodeo Bourbon has seen a recent packaging update and material changes to the whiskey in the bottle, making for a dynamic, crowd-pleasing flagship product for the Koopers brand.
On the nose are aromas of honey, heavy caramel, shortbread, raisins, and charred oak. The palate starts mellow then turned into a rush of spice that coated the mouth with some nutty notes and hints of orange citrus and rye.
