Gold Bar Black Double Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey is produced by Gold Bar Bottle Company, with blending overseen by Master Blender Montgomery Paulsen in collaboration with a Texas-based distillery. It is made from a mash bill of 80% Texas corn and 20% Oklahoma rye, triple copper pot distilled, aged three to six years in new charred American oak barrels, and finished in former Napa Valley French oak wine barrels. Bottled non-chill filtered at 46% ABV (92 proof), it typically retails for around $50.

  • Another interesting experience on the nose, Gold Bar Black features hefty aromas of oak wood, though they’re tempered by some spice, floral notes and sesame seed.
