Produced in Glasgow, Scotland, Drambuie is an 80-proof liqueur made with Scotch malt whisky, spices, herbs and heather honey. The recipe dates back to the mid-1700s and is said to have been created for Bonnie Prince Charlie by his Royal Apothecary. William Grant & Sons acquired the brand in 2014.
Herbal flavors are much more prominent upon tasting the liqueur, and are quickly mellowed by a creamy texture, juicy orange notes, and a prominent honeyed sweetness. Mix in cocktails or drink over ice.
