Crodino is a non-alcoholic Italian aperitif first created in 1965 in Northern Italy. The bright-orange beverage is made from 15 botanicals, including cardamom, clove, nutmeg and coriander, which are extracted using methods unchanged since its inception. The extract undergoes double fermentation and is left to infuse and blend for up to six months. The brand was acquired by Gruppo Campari in 1995, and was introduced to American consumers for the first time in May 2025.
Though this is being marketed as a Campari-backed NA aperitif (correctly so), it's worth reiterating that this is not a zero-proof version of Aperol or Campari, but it's own thing. Crodino is bottled in 175ml glass bottles and priced at $14.99 per 4-pack.

It looks bright orange, and it smells the part. All the effervescence and citrus of a freshly cracked Fanta, minus about 20 degrees of sweetness. Bitter hints of cloves, rose water and quinine tip this firmly into aperitif territory.
Kicks off with a thirst-quenching lick of orange and citrus pith. Fanta feels like an unfair comparison; let's say grapefruit juice, if only because of the bitterness. After that, there's a sharp, back-of-the-throat prickle of botanicals. Cardamom, gentian root, quinine and a hint of almond. It's a one-two punch of very different flavors, but they work together wonderfully alongside heaps of carbonation.

Yum! For anyone who likes their drinks light, bright and punchy, this should hit the bittersweet itch. I had a great time sipping it straight from the bottle, and an even better time poured over ice with an extra squeeze of orange. Reading up on the lore, it looks like there are also a ton of Crodino-based cocktails, including the delicious-sounding Sixteen Rum. Who knew?
