Almare Spritz, first launched in Italy in 2020, is produced at the Maschio family winery in San Pietro di Feletto in the Prosecco region of Veneto. The Maschio family, with three generations of Prosecco production from their estate vineyards near Conegliano, infuses their naturally fermented Prosecco with citrus and botanicals sourced from Italy to create a line of Italian spritzes. Almare Spritz Classico is made from Glera wine infused with bitter orange, rhubarb and herbs. It hosts a suggested retail price of $15.
Punchy and cleansing, the finish leans on a lightly floral note that nods eventually at gentian, lemon verbena, and mixed greenery — almost cilantro-like at times. Perfectly pleasant.
