Anheuser-Busch Turns Combine Harvester in a 10-Ton Mobile Beer Dispenser

Anheuser-Busch’s latest and largest marketing stunt is hitting the road with a roving 10-ton tribute to American agriculture.

On Wednesday, the brewing giant unveiled the “ComBar” — a decommissioned combine harvester typically used to farm barley, corn and hops, repurposed into a beer dispenser on wheels. Measuring in at over 400 square feet and 32 gallons of beverage capacity, the truck-turned-taproom is outfitted with four spouts along its side that dispense Bud Light, Budweiser and Busch Light. A giant spout dangling off the top that reads “Choose Beer Grown Here” does not appear to have beer-pouring capabilities, but who knows, Anheuser-Busch might have surprises in store.

The choice of vehicle isn’t a coincidence. In 2024, Anheuser-Busch was bestowed the U.S. Farmed certification, indicating that at least 95% of the agricultural ingredients in its Busch Light, Busch, Budweiser, Bud Light and Michelob ULTRA beers are sourced from American farms. The company says that it spends $700 million each year sourcing crops from 700 American farmers, and describes its ComBar as a 235-Horsepower “thank you” to its grower’s hard work.

“The ComBar brings that commitment to life in a way only Anheuser-Busch can — by transforming an iconic symbol of the harvest into a celebration of the people who make our beers possible,” Cesar Vargas, Chief External Affairs Officer at Anheuser-Busch, said in a statement.

“We’re rolling it out this summer to remind people to ‘Choose Beer Grown Here’ and support the growers behind every sip—because that’s who we are.”

The harvester is scheduled to hit nearly a dozen locations across the Midwest and South throughout the summer, with additional events soon to be announced. We can only imagine the viral videos this thing will spawn if it drives onto an interstate. More likely than not, though, we’d be willing to guess it’ll be lugged around in secret, or at the very least, beneath a comedically oversized tarp.

Fans can expect to find the ComBar at:
