Produced in Los Angeles, Optimist Botanicals Smokey Distilled Non-Alcoholic Spirit is crafted to capture the essence of mezcal or tequila. This 500 ml, <0.5% ABV offering features a blend of Lapsang Souchong, bitter red orange, clove, ginger, bergamot, cinnamon leaf, habanero, sage and other botanicals.
The taste is lightly smokey as expected from the Lapsang Souchong, but things are brightened up with higher notes of clove, bergamot, and orange. Very much akin to an herbal tea blend.
