Hinterhaus Distilling Calaveras Cask Finish is a 92-proof, non-chill-filtered bourbon aged initially in new charred American oak barrels at a high-altitude Sierra Mountains distillery. After aging, it undergoes a secondary finish in regional wine casks.
The result: allspice, cola and sarsaparilla aromas, leading into a bracing palate with burnt almond and oak. It finishes with a big, drying exhale of cinnamon and burnt orange peel.
