Huge rich nose that’s full of parchment, toffee, black tea, sweet cream, muted pepper, lovely honey and layers and layers of caramel, and brown sugar.
Heavy on the palate, viscous and powerful with lots of oak, layers of toffee, more tea, dusty sweetness, brown sugar, a hint of ginger and more oak.
Long finish that’s a smooth, sweet, layered finish and transition, full of caramels, honey, more sweet tea, strong oak and tons of black tea and brown sugar.
A lovely release from Maker’s that demonstrates the Maker’s take on extra aged whiskey, and I love it.
