Kástra Elión Vodka is a Greek vodka produced by a family-owned distillery and crafted from handpicked olives blended with grains and natural spring water. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 750 ml format, it takes its name from the castle overlooking the olive groves of Nafpaktos. Brand tasting notes describe a full-bodied profile with subtle ripe olive character, peppery undertones and a soft, buttery finish. It typically retails for around $53.
The sweetness in the spirit is more clearly evident on the palate, where a clearer element of vanilla-scented white sugar comes into focus. That very gentle grassy quality — perhaps driven by the olives in the distillate — isn’t overwhelming, but it’s present.
