Chocolate, salted caramel, some white pepper, and a lingering chimney soot note all give the palate a punch of flavor and a finish that seems unending, concluding on a clear note of milk chocolate, perhaps tinged with licorice. The whiskey would surely be delightful for winter — but as summer approaches, it seems equally apt.
I dig the design of the bottle and how they’ve labeled this, but I don’t honestly know if this strikes a chord with me as being a distinctly winter pour.
While this may not be something you want everyday, it's nice to bring out for special occasions. Wouldn't do much beyond an Old Fashioned for a cocktail.
