  • Overall, this is an earthy, woody gin. Star anise, cedar and cardamom lead the nose and palate, finishing with a warm cinnamon spark. Hops is one of the key botanicals, contributing to that earthy/woody perception.

  • Nose:

    Really pungent, sweet and fruit forward. Some fruit must, pepper, juniper.

  • Taste:

    Rich on the palate. Honey, sesame seeds and almond, lemon curd, pepper. A bit of heat.

  • Finish:

    Short finish, a bit hot, some sesame seed and baked bread. Apple, pears, cream, pepper.

  • Overall:

    Fun and interesting, but not quite up my alley. It's well made, a good gin, but I'd reach for other bottles first.
