  • Really delicious. If you are looking for a citrus kick, this will serve that with little trouble. It made a phenomenal gimlet, as well as a delicious gin and tonic.

  • Whereas standard Tanqueray can be overpowering with juniper, Rangpur is overpowering with lime — almost chemical in the way it comes across.

  • The juicy mandarin really comes through on the aroma, covering up the juniper actually. As you taste, the ginger and juniper make appearances, the Rangpur lime is still holding strong.

  • Despite being on the market for over fifteen years, Tanqueray Rangpur Lime Gin endures because the popularity of citrus-forward gins has remained high. Overall, while it loses marks for balance, it’s a solid mixing gin for fans of citrus-forward gin.

  • The Tangueray Rangpur was a bit of a disappointment for me. I thought the citrus push was perhaps a little too strong and the mild burn the spirit possesses is apparent in both the delivery and in the finish. Having said that, a simple ice cube alleviates the burn, and the citrus elements of the gin express themselves very well in cocktails and bar drinks

  • Nose:

Limes, vanilla, honey, pepper, faint brine, crisp lemon zest. Faint clove.

  • Taste:

Medium mouth feel. Sweet and effervescent. Lots of limes, lemon zest and pepper. Light cardamom, faint basic, confectioners sugar.

  • Finish:

Long, sweet and citrus. Almost a light vanilla sweetness, but brought back in check with some more lime zest and cracked pepper.

  • Overall:

Really delicious. If you are looking for a citrus kick, this will serve that with little trouble. It made a phenomenal gimlet, as well as a delicious gin and tonic.
