Don Q Double Aged Zinfandel Cask Finish is aged 5 to 8 years in American white oak barrels, and then rested an additional 3 years in zinfandel casks from California. Let's dig in!
This is pleasant, unique, and that pop of Zinfandel is really unique. It could use a touch more oak and ABV, but nobody will be sad with this pour in their glass.

House Review
Nose:
Funky on the nose, full of brown sugar, maple, banana and a touch of raisin bread.
Taste:
Maple, caramel, toffee and red berries. Cherry, honey, moderate mouthfeel. There’s a prickle of heat but it’s pleasant and the fruitiness pops through.
Finish:
Short to medium finish - it’s pleasant and complex, the Zinfandel pops with fruitiness in a unique and unusual way for many rums I’ve tried.
Overall:
This is pleasant, unique, and that pop of Zinfandel is really unique. It could use a touch more oak and ABV, but nobody will be sad with this pour in their glass.
