Blade and Bow 12-Year-Old Solera Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon produced at the historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville under Diageo ownership. Made from bourbon aged at least 12 years, it undergoes a multi-vat solera finishing process using Cognac, Bordeaux, Moscatel and Port casks before bottling. It is bottled at 52% ABV and retails for around $64.99 per 750 mL bottle.

Delectable nose. Sweet cream and green apple plus brown sugar and caramel.
Oily viscosity. Barrel char intertwine with green apple, cinnamon, clove and molasses.
Browned butter and barrel char lead the finish, followed by espresso, leather, butterscotch and orange peel.
A luscious bourbon with a spectacular profile. Impressive stuff.
