Damoiseau Rhum Blanc Agricole is produced at Bellevue Distillery in Le Moule, Guadeloupe, from 100% first-pressed sugarcane juice grown on the Grand Terre estate. Made in the traditional rhum agricole style, the clear spirit is rested for six months in stainless steel vats before natural spring water is added to reach bottling strength. It is available in several expressions, including 40%, 50% and 55% ABV.
On the palate, the rum is a bit thin, with the myriad overtones present in the nose dialed way back on the tongue. The floral elements are the strongest of these, with some mushroom and earth elements emerging in time.
