Tarquin’s Cornish Gin, a spirits producer situated along England’s wild Cornish Coast, has released a limited-edition gin flavored with freshly pressed peaches and apricots. As reported by Cornish Stuff, the aptly named Peach & Apricot Gin promises imbibers “an early taste of summer.”

“Tarquin’s Limited Edition Peach & Apricot Gin is a classic flavour combination that’s a taste of summer,” the brand wrote. “Lovingly infused in small batches with fresh pressed Apricots and sweet Peaches at our distillery on the Wild Cornish Coast. To create a juicy limited edition as vibrant as golden Cornish sunshine.”

Produced in small batches at the Southwestern Distillery, only 800 bottles of this 38%-ABV gin are available.

Tarquin’s suggests mixing its Peach & Apricot Gin with Sicilian lemonade, peach wedges and a fresh mint garnish for an ideal serve. The new offering can be found for £38.00 per 70-cl bottle on the brand’s online shop.

Founded by self-taught Master Distiller Tarquin Leadbetter, the journey of Tarquin’s Gin began with a small pot still on a kitchen stove. Leadbetter, a classically trained chef, left a corporate job in London at 23, driven by the passion to create. Supported by his sister Athene, he envisioned establishing the first Cornish distillery in over a century. Armed with a copper pot still, diverse botanicals and a “prized surfboard,” Leadbetter returned to the wild Cornish Coast, embarking on an adventure that ultimately led to the official launch of the Southwestern Distillery in July 2013. In 2017, Tarquin’s “The SeaDog” Navy Strength Gin was named the “World’s Best Gin” at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Cornish Stuff added that the distillery expressed immense gratitude to the community for ongoing support and enthusiasm in its small-batch experiments. Tarquin and his distillers additionally invited patrons to share feedback on the latest peach and apricot creation, eager to hear about personal tasting experiences.
