Hernö Dry Gin is produced at the Hernö Distillery in Dala, Sweden near the eastern coast. It uses eight organic botanicals including juniper berries, coriander seeds, fresh lemon peel, lingonberries, meadowsweet, black pepper, cassia and vanilla. The gin is made using a one-shot method and bottled at 40.5% ABV.
The palate tames the berries, but ups the ante on the juniper and black pepper. There's a softness on the body of the gin and the botanicals work together to present a spring-like fragrance with a bite of juniper.
