Limestone Branch Distillery

8 Year Old
Released on Feb. 24, 2026, this is the debut release in the Yellowstone Recollection Series. This release came about when Limestone Branch Distillery founder Stephen Beam came across a vintage "back bar bottle" on Ebay and set out to recreate it — or "recollect" the vintage bottle, if you will. The result is quite impressive, a hand-bottle decanter bearing embossed letters. Initially released in a small run as a distillery-exclusive in fall 2025, Yellowstone Recollection Bourbon 8 Year Old returns in 2026 planned to be a regular but limited release.
A blend of two mashbills — Limestone Branch's 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley, and Lux Row's 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley — this bourbon is aged at least eight years, non-chill filtered and bottled at 110 proof. Each 700-milliliter bottle has a suggested retail price of $69.99.

Very beautiful nose. Lots of corn sweetness — sweet corn, toffee, sweet cream, gingerbread, caramel, vanilla custard, apricot, red apple, cocoa.
A big red apple note kicks off the palate, joined by custard, gentle oak, caramel, toffee, candied ginger, carrot cake and molasses.
Warming finish that opens with a big cinnamon note, followed by tobacco, toasted oak, leather, Granny Smith apple and just a touch of peanut brittle.
This is absolutely delicious bourbon. It's perfectly, in that it’s sippable but with plenty of complexity. Decadent, custardy, creamy and fruit-forward, Yellowstone's debut Recollection Bourbon delivers dynamite balance. It's delicious and rich yet easy-drinking — just everything I look for in a daily bourbon. Very strong value at $70, and that's without getting into the bottle, which is quite visually appealing and will look great on any bar.
