Captain Morgan Spiced Gold 0.0% is a nonalcoholic spirit launched by Diageo in August 2023. It is an alcohol-free version of Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, made with caramel, molasses, vanilla and brown spice flavors. The product, Diageo’s first dark spirit in its alcohol-free portfolio, hosts a recommended retail price of £15 in Great Britain, roughly $18 USD.
This is a nice-looking drink, gold in colour with a soft but spicy aroma, and the taste is a good balance of sweetness and heat. Unlike most alcohol-free spirits, it’s pleasant to drink neat, but probably works best when mixed. We had it with cola, but it’s a good substitute for standard-strength rum in a whole range of cocktails. A valuable addition to any drinks cabinet!
