Conejito Caliente (Batched Hot Chocolate Cocktail)

About This Cocktail

The perfect batched cocktail for your Super Bowl party. Warm up during the halftime show with this hot chocolate that takes inspiration from Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rican roots and global energy. Served hot from a slow cooker, this rich, milk-based chocolate drink is designed to warm everyone up without stopping the party.

Serves 10-12.

Ingredients

  • 2½ cup Puerto Rican Rum
  • 1 quart Whole Milk
  • 12 oz Evaporated Milk
  • ¼ cup Cocoa Powder
  • ⅓ cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Add everything except for the rum to a crockpot.
  2. Set crockpot to LOW, and heat for 1.5 hours, stirring every 20-30 minutes until the chocolate is fully dissolved and the mixture is hot and smooth.
  3. Remove the cinnamon stick.
  4. Stir in the rum.
  5. Switch crockpot to WARM and serve in mugs.
