Phraya Deep Matured Gold Rum is produced at Sangsom Distillery in Thailand's Nakhon Pathom province. It's made from Thai sugar cane and aged for 7 to 12 years in charred oak barrels. It's bottled at 40% ABV and sells for around $60-70 per bottle.
On the whole, this is a fun and quite unique rum (if for nothing more than its provenance alone), but probably not something I'll be dying to tipple on nightly.
