R.L. Seale's 10 Year Old is a Barbados rum distilled at the Foursquare Rum Distillery by master distiller Richard Seale. It is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of ten years prior to blending and bottling at the Export Proof of 46% abv.
On the palate, the same holds true, at least initially. Big fruit notes – lychee, coconut, pineapple, even a little white peach – punch with gusto at the outset, but things temper quickly as that sweetness dries out, replaced by a green, gingery spice.
