Yet again embracing its playful side, Scottish spirits brand Hendrick’s Gin released a limited-edition lingerie line on Monday. Described as the “perfect match” for Valentine’s Day festivities, the Wiederhoeft-designed “Gintimates” capsule collection features three distinctive pieces created to enhance the cocktail-making process.
“Hendrick’s has long enjoyed reimagining the odd accouterments and customs of the Victorian era when gin was all the rage and undergarments were a world unto themselves,” the brand explained.
“In partnering with Wiederhoeft, a design house creating modern nostalgia, we are at last offering the elegance and whimsy of Victorian underthings to the objects of cocktail culture that have long lacked access to lingerie.”
The Gintimates line comprises the Bottle Corset, intended to “celebrate the seductive beauty of the voluptuous Hendrick’s bottle”; the Pinky Garter, an accessory that reminds you to keep your pinky up while toasting to various delights; and the Cocktail Garnish Chain, a rose-shaped decoration ideal for adorning your favorite martini glass.

The Hendrick’s Gintimates collection will be available in limited quantities for pre-order starting Jan. 29 on www.hendrickstinyshop.com. Hendrick’s added that the distinctive collection aims to redefine the aesthetics of cocktail culture by embracing “pleasures beyond the flesh.”
As an additional treat, Hendrick’s introduced the Cosmopoligin cocktail, a twist on the classic pink drink that has been experiencing a resurgence in popularity.
