Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin Italian Fig & Laurel comes from The Shed Distillery in Ireland and is bottled at 43% ABV in a 700 ml format. Created in collaboration with Italian mixologist Bruno Vanzan, the 2025 edition uses the distillery’s standard Drumshanbo botanicals with gunpowder tea, plus Italian viola fig and laurel.

Fig jam, orange peel, papaya, creamy mango sorbet and banana taffy on the juicy and fruity nose.
The stone-fruit-forward palate shows ripe plum, peach, apricot and fig, with green tea, eucalyptus and anise emerging mid-palate.
The finish is medium-length, herbal and sweet, highlighting heather, allspice, cherry, clove, mint and piney juniper.
This is a playful, fruity spirit that will please fans of modern, nontraditional gin. It pairs well with a classic tonic and lime wedge, but it also works in creative cocktails with spicy liqueurs and herbaceous shrubs. Consider adding it to a holiday punch, too!
