Perfumed and sugary on the nose. Suggestions of orange blossom, marmalade, lemon peel, wild flower honey, jasmine tea and cilantro.
The palate is soft and sweet at first with violet candies, vanilla bean, lilac and orange flesh before transitioning to a spicy midpalate balancing jalapeño seed, green herbs, lemon juice and cinnamon.
The medium-length finish echoes more florals and spice, offering up hints of violet perfume, black peppercorn, rose petals and cayenne.
Fritztown Gin is an elegant, floral spirit that I’ll reach for often, given my fondness for flowery expressions. It works beautifully in an Aviation and is sure to have a place in just about any sweet classic gin cocktail.
