Inspired by Italian aperitifs, Crossip Pure Hibiscus is a non-alcoholic spirit alternative produced in the United Kingdom. It features a fruity, herbal blend of hibiscus, rhubarb, elderberry, cranberry, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cayenne, and retails for around $25.

Brand tasting notes highlight hibiscus, cubeb and rhubarb on the nose. The palate develops herbal bitterness layered over fruit and florals, finishing with wormwood and cayenne. It is recommended for alcohol-free Negronis and spritzes.

  • Get ready for an explosion of flavours with Crossip Pure Hibiscus! Either as part of a cocktail or just served with soda, this spirit provides a unique and novel taste. Cloves, hibiscus and pine notes deliver heat and bitterness, but balanced with a nice freshness too.

  • It opens with smooth silky flavours of rhubarb and hibiscus giving a perfect blend of fruity tartness with a slight syrupy sweetness. This uncomplicated prologue lingers as a baseline but yields to the bitters which come through in the middle with astonishing boldness – you really do have to like bitters to enjoy this drink. Finally, there’s a long finish with cayenne and ginger leaving the mouth tingling with fieriness and bitterness. It’s refreshing, it’s sweet, it’s bitter – it gives nods to Campari and Amari, but the flavours are very much its own.
