Estonian Spirit Producer Marks Dubai Duty Free’s 40th Anniversary With Saffron-Infused Gin

Marking Dubai Duty Free’s 40th anniversary, Liviko, an Estonian spirit producer, introduced a special saffron-infused offering to its Crafter’s Gin range.
The production of Golden Saffron Gin involves a post-distillation seven-day infusion with saffron, resulting in a golden-yellow hue and a subtle, warm, spicy aftertaste, the Spirits Business reported on Monday. Liviko’s export director, Jörgen Herman, emphasized the release as a remarkable milestone in the brand’s collaboration with Dubai Duty Free.
”For Liviko, duty free is a strategic focus, as it’s where both business and leisure travellers seek new taste adventures, often igniting new trends,” Herman added, according to the report.
Made using Crafter’s recipe #19, the gin claims to offer a crisp and herbaceous flavor profile. Liviko said that the combination of saffron, lotus flower and mandarin peel delicately softens the spirit, while ginger root balances the sweet and earthy essence of orris root.
Sharon Beecham, Dubai Duty Free’s senior vice-president for purchasing, expressed enthusiasm for exclusive products and highlighted the joint effort with Liviko, anticipating the brand’s success and a continued fruitful partnership.
“The addition of Crafter’s Golden Saffron Gin to our liquor listing is a testament to our mission of offering our customers unique and exceptional quality products in a world-class shopping environment and a fitting tribute to our milestone 40-year anniversary,” Beecham shared, per the Spirits Business.

Liviko is excited to participate in this year’s TFWA World Exhibition & Conference as a product sponsor, presenting its range of spirits at the Blue Village Stand B4 from 2 to 5 October, between 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. After exhibition hours, attendees can enjoy Crafter’s cocktails at the TFWA Lounge at Carlton Beach.
In August, Liviko announced a lineup of boozy spray-on cocktail garnishes. Dubbed Crafter’s Sensory Potions, the range comes in three aromas, each made with the same botanicals featured in the brand’s main Crafter’s Gin expressions.
