Produced by Tamworth Distilling & Mercantile in Tamworth, New Hampshire, Tamworth Garden White Mountain Gin is made with traditional gin botanicals and a blend of Centennial, Citra and Amarillo hops. The gin has an ABV of 48%.
The palate is just as bold, and the flavors come together well. Floral and piney notes intertwine, with lemon coming in later, and a satisfying, bitter, hoppy finish for a long close. It makes a great gin and tonic, but it needs a bit of additional tonic to balance the gin’s strength.
Overall, Tamworth Distilling’s White Mountain Gin is far greater than a sum of its parts. Albeit unusual, it’s going to find fans with those who like herbal, savory gins.
